Getting Started - PC
To get started on the Internet you need a computer. For Internet use
this is most likely to be an IBM-PC compatible.
Basic requirements
are -
- Processor suitable for running Microsoft Windows - today this would
be 486 or Pentium based, at least 8Mbytes of RAM, VGA screen, as large a
disk as you can afford, and a printer.
- A Modem - as high a speed as you can
afford.
- Learning time - how much is up to you, but you must sow to reap
- Although Internet access is possible with a smaller / older computer
than this, you would probably feel the need to upgrade soon.
