Membership of COIN

COIN does not ask for an annual subscription!

Who can join ?

"Membership is open, on an individual basis, irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, nationality, race, colour, disability or political affiliation to all residents of the British Isles who are members of any Church or Church-affiliated organisation which is a member of the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, or otherwise at the discretion of the Executive." (Constitution, clause 5).

There are two membership categories people can apply for:

Full Membership    Individuals who maintain an email address accessible from the Internet, who subscribe to the aim of the Association, who have completed a Membership Application, and paid such membership fee as the Executive shall from time to time determine.

Associate Membership    Individuals who do not maintain an email address accessible from the Internet, but who subscribe to the aim of the Association, who have completed a Membership Application and paid such membership fee as the Executive shall from time to time determine.

The aim of the Association can be found in the Constitution.

How to join

To become a member of COIN, please print and complete the Membership Application Form and send it, together with a once-only join fee of 5 UK pounds.

If you do not put an email address on the application form it will be assumed you are applying for Associate Membership.

Changing Associate Membership into Full Membership

If you join COIN before you have an email address you will be given Associate Membership. As soon as you have an email address you qualify for Full Membership. To change your membership status (at no additional cost) please advise the Membership Secretary of your new email address by sending him an email confirming your new address and requesting the change in membership status.

When members change email address or postal address, please notify the Membership Secretary so that our records can be maintained.
